Hiking in Park City can be a four-season activity that is fun for the whole family.
Park City is blessed to have a plethora of trails that highlight some of our best scenery from shady aspen groves, high alpine lakes, and wildflowers, to autumn leaves, wildlife, and epic views.
Every local has their favorite rails to wander, get lost in the present moment, and relish in awe. For me, the perfect mountain trail is characterized by intermittently challenging terrain, good views, groves of trees, and high alpine lakes.
All of my favorite hikes encompass these characteristics in one way or another:
Bloods Lake and Lackawaxen Trail
Silver Lake to Bald Mountain
Lofty Lakes Loop
Three Divide Lakes and Armstrong
Park City has a large network of mountain biking trails for all skill levels
You can rent a bike and head to popular spots like Deer Valley Resort or Park City Mountain Resort which is the backyard of 421 Woodside. You can ride down our street to the Town Lift and hitch a ride to the middle of Park City Mountain Resort.

Park City offers several excellent golfing options for enthusiasts.
Park City offers two golf courses in-town including the Park City Golf Club and Canyons Golf Course. Just outside of city-limits in beautiful Heber, the Wasatch Mountain and Lake Courses, Crater Springs and Soldier Hollow Silver and Gold Courses await for your challenge.
Please note that availability, green fees, and tee times may vary, so it’s best to check with each golf course directly or visit their websites for more information and to make reservations.
Park City Golf Club
Located just minutes away from Main Street, Park City Golf Club is a public course that offers stunning mountain views. This 18-hole course provides a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.
Park City Municipal is a pretty tough course from the Blues. Some of the carries are intense even in the higher elevation. Some nice elevated tee boxes combined with the elevation will make you feel like the long drive champion. Bombs away!!

Mountain Dell Golf Course
I recommend the Lake Course as there are holes that are very unique. This is a fun place with a bunch of wildlife sharing the greens with you. Cool staff and variable look holes make it enjoyable throughout.

Wasatch Mountain Golf Course
Located in Midway, about 30 minutes from Park City, Wasatch Mountain Golf Course offers two 18-hole courses: the Lake Course and the Mountain Course. These courses provide scenic views and a range of challenges for golfers.
These are classic courses with the Mountain being one of my favorite courses on this big blue marble. There are multiple elevated tees so you can drive the farthest you have driven in your life. Tons of wildlife and beautiful forest abound. The Lake is more forgiving and is super fun to play from beginner to advanced. Keep your eyes peeled for moose, deer, turkeys, and other wildlife strolling the course.

Soldier Hollow Golf Course
Located in nearby Midway, approximately 25 minutes from Park City, Soldier Hollow Golf Course is a public course with two 18-hole championship courses: the Gold Course and the Silver Course. Both courses offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
The Silver course is one of my favoritelayouts in the area and super fun to play. If you shoot over 90, I recommend playing from the white tees, as the blues can be very long on some holes.

Crater Springs Golf Course
For all the 18+ handicappers in the group, I would play from the whites. There is a lot of water on this course. Make sure to bring extra balls. The driving range is right next to the 1st tee and I would get to the course an hour early to take advantage of some easy practice shots on the range before the tough round.

May families and groups that have stayed with us rave about their horseback riding adventures. Red Pine Tours has been the go-to outfit for safe and fun horseback riding.

Fly-Fishing
The Provo River and Weber River offer excellent fly-fishing opportunities. for anglers, with guided tours available for beginners. I have a friend that is a guide for the Provo River and is much less expensive than one of the branded tour outfits in town. Let me know if you would like to speak to Brandon for a guided fly-fishing day trip with a born-and-bred local fly-fisherman.

Utah Olympic Park
Summer offerings include extreme tubing, alpine slides, bobsledding, ropes courses, and zip-lining. Two museums, the Alf Engen Ski Museum and the Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum are free to visit and open year-round. The Adventure Courses at Utah Olympic Park were my favorite activities. Utah Olympic Park has three ropes courses where you work your way through a variety of challenging elements high off the ground.
We started our day on the Canyon Adventure Course for ages 7+. My 12-year-old completed both the Canyon and Summit courses, which are in the same location. My 9-year-old froze with fear early on the Canyon course and had to be helped through. After swearing he would never do anything like that again, he changed his mind fifteen minutes later and completed it with confidence! At the end of the day, he easily completed the Discovery Course for ages 5+ on the other side of the park. This one was easier but still fun, and has a zip line at the end. He wished he had done this one first.

Scuba dive, swim, soak, snorkel, or simply tour a Geothermal Swim Hole
The geothermal hot spring located on the property of Homestead Farm is an incredible destination for scuba diving and other water activities. With a depth of 65 feet and an average temperature of 95 degrees, it offers a unique and warm scuba experience, making it the only warm scuba destination in the Continental US.
For those who prefer not to scuba dive, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. You can swim, soak, or snorkel on the surface of the hot spring, taking in the beauty of the geothermal waters. The custom-built decks that extend into the water offer a convenient and comfortable place to relax and recharge. The Utah Crater provides lifejackets, ensuring that the whole family can safely enjoy the warm mineral water.

Yoga inside the Swim Hole at Park City Yoga Adventures
Have you ever done paddleboard yoga in a 10,000-year-old natural hot spring? We didn’t think so. But thanks to Park City Yoga Adventures (435-640-3022; parkcityyogaadventures.com) you can do just that within the surreal Homestead Crater in Midway.
The hot spring is fully encased in stone, protecting its 95-degree, therapeutic waters—and you—from the elements. Go just for the SUP yoga or make an afternoon of it by adding on a pre-yoga, guided snowshoe hike into the nearby and picturesque Wasatch Mountain State Park.
When you’re booking your yoga, we recommend making a reservation for dinner in one of Café Galleria’s (101 W Main St, Midway, 435-657-2002; thecafegalleria.com) charming glass Alpenglobe dining shelters. Furry throws line the benches inside these private, rustic-chic pods where you and up to seven friends can sip cocktails and dine on woodfire-oven baked pizza, homemade pasta, cocktails, salads, hearty entrees, and much more.
